Having problems isolating Monocytes, PBMC & PMC? You’re not alone…

Monocytes, if correctly identified, are characterised by a large amoeboid shape, unilobar nucleus and vacuolated cytoplasm, and play a role in phagocytosis, presentation of antigen to T cells, and cytokine production. Studying monocytes often requires isolation from peripheral blood or bone marrow samples, but getting a large enough yield of viable cells can be challenging. BioVision’s human Whole Blood Monocyte Isolation Kit allows for in vitro isolation of intact, viable monocytes. The kit enables the isolation of approximately 80% of all monocytes present in PB, with the resulting cells being >99% viable, and >95% pure. Additionally, BioVision offer similar kits for the isolation of peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs).
