Cryopreserved animal hepatocytes permit to start projects immediately after thawing and no need to wait for liver tissue.
Cryopreserved hepatocytes can be stored for years at predefined conditions in the vapour phase of liquid nitrogen or in freezers at temperatures below -150°C. Available when a research project needs them, they are an appropriate solution for sequential experiments over time. Most applications can be performed using fresh hepatocytes in general considering that cryopreserved cells can be used following a limited number of thawing processes.
