Lyophilized. Contains PBS.
Handling Advice:
After reconstitution, prepare aliquots and store at -20°C.Avoid freeze/thaw cycles.Centrifuge lyophilized vial before opening and reconstitution.PBS containing at least 0.1% BSA should be used for further dilutions.
Long Description:
Protein. Human POP1 (aa 2-89) is fused at the N-terminus to a GST tag. Source: E. coli. Lyophilized. Contains PBS. Purity: >95% (SDS-PAGE). The inflammasome is a multiprotein complex that mediates the activation of caspase-1, which promotes, amongst others, the secretion of the proinflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1beta and IL-18. Members of the Nod-like receptor family (NLRs), including NLRP3/NALP3, are critical components of the inflammasome that link danger-signals to caspase-1 activation. Defects in NLRP3 are the cause of familial cold autoinflammatory syndrome type 1 (FCAS1), Muckle-Wells syndrome (MWS) and of chronic infantile neurologic cutaneous and articular syndrome (CINCA). Pyrin domain-containing protein 1 (POP1) interacts with the protein Asc (Pycard) and modulates the interaction of Asc to NLR proteins.
