Long Description:
Chemical. CAS: 14348-21-1. Formula: C21H22O5. MW: 354.4. Cnidicin is a natural product isolated from the root extract of Angelica koreana (Umbelliferae). Cnidicin has anti-allergic and anti-inflammatory activity. It inhibits the degranulation of mast cell and the nitric oxide (NO) generation in RAW 264.7 cells, by inhibition of nitric oxide synthase expression. Cnidicin has shown anti-proliferative and cytotoxic activity in vitro on cultured human tumor cells such as A549 (non small cell lung), SK-OV-3 (ovary), SK-MEL-2 (melanoma), XF498 (central nervous system) and HCT-15 (colon).
