9-Oxononanoic acid is an oxidized fatty acid formedviathe autoxidation of linoleic acid .1,2It increases phospholipase A2(PLA2) activity and production of thromboxane B2in isolated human plasma.19-Oxononanoic acid decreases hepaticde novofatty acid synthesis and increases hepatic carnitine palmitoyltransferase activity, a marker of β-oxidation, in rats.2
