Ophiobolin A is a fungal metabolite and a phytotoxin and is an effective and irreversibly inhibitor of calmodulin-activated cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterase (IC50: 9 uM). Ophiobolin A also has antimicrobial and anticancer activity.
