Bioactivity:
MK761 has β-adrenergic receptor antagonist and vasodilator properties in a single molecule and is as effective at blocking cardiac and vascular β-adrenergic receptors as timolol and indololol. The compound exhibited β-adrenergic receptor blocking activity in vitro in the isolated papillary muscle of the cat heart and in the isolated rat atria.
