ROCK Inhibitor Y-27632 is a potent and selective small molecule inhibitor of Rho-associated coiled-coil containing protein kinase (ROCK). It is commonly used in cell culture to promote cell survival, enhance cell proliferation, and maintain the undifferentiated state in various cell types, particularly in stem cell research and tissue engineering applications.
Y-27632 is an ATP-competitive inhibitor of ROCK-I and ROCK-II. It also prevents apoptosis induced by isolation in mouse prostate stem or progenitor cells.
