Atract™ T-Cell Activation Kits

Based on their patented technology, Bio-ReCell’s Atract™ Kits enable robust and reliable activation of T cells as a prerequisite for the development of state-of-the-art therapeutics and other innovative solutions.

The Atract™ Kit mimics the role of antigen-presenting cells in a native setting by stimulating naïve T cells via the CD3 subunit of the TCR receptor and invigorating the activation with costimulatory signals specific to T cells. This results in high proliferation rates, improving process efficiency and lowering the cost of cell activation.

The Atract™ Kit is compatible with a range of culturing platforms, including flasks, bags, plates and various sizes of G-Rex® containers. T-cell activation with the Atract™ Kit yields high expansion rates and excellent cell viability, even when used with different activation media.

Why Atract™ Kit Outperforms Conventional T-Cell Activation Technologies

Atract™ Kit is designed to provide clean, complete dissociation following T-cell activation, leaving no unwanted impurities in your workflow and no detectable residual antibodies on the cell surface (below LLOQ/LOD). Unlike conventional activation reagents, Atract™ particles cannot be phagocytosed, as they are approximately 5 times larger than cells. This provides a significant advantage as the particles can be easily removed from the culture using standard filtration after stimulation. The result is a cleaner, chemically defined product profile that reduces a key source of variability and regulatory concern. This residual-free approach requires no magnetic components or specialised hardware, eliminating the need for additional cleaning steps and supporting simpler, more cost-effective processes.

Atract™ Kit also delivers strong and consistent biological performance. Both internal data and independent evaluations show that Atract™ Kit outperforms competitors in total T-cell yield and Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) expression levels.

Functional outcomes further differentiate Atract™ Kit. The system maintains robust activation (CD25/CD69) while delivering comparable expansion, viability, and scalability in closed systems such as G-Rex®. It also delivers enhanced cytotoxic performance, promotes a more favourable CD8-dominant profile, sustained granzyme B production, and reduced cytokine release. In addition, transduction efficiency was shown to be 1.3x higher than competitors across ALL samples, as independently validated by the National Institute of Chemistry and the University of Ljubljana.
