Background:
DC2.4 is an immortalized mouse dendritic cell line created by transducing bone marrow cells from C57BL/6 mice with retroviral vectors that express mouse granulocyte-macrophage CSF (GM-CSF) and the oncogenes myc and raf. DC2.4 shows typical dendritic cell features, including cell morphology and the expression of dendritic cell-specific markers, as well as the ability to phagocytose MHC class I and II molecules and present exogenous antigens on them.
