Background:
HCCLM3 cells are a hepatocellular carcinoma cell line with high spontaneous pulmonary metastatic potential. This cell line was established by inoculating nude mice with the human hepatocellular carcinoma cell line MHCC97-H, followed by three rounds of in vivo selection for pulmonary metastasis. It was derived from harvested lung metastatic nodules and subsequently passaged subcutaneously. HCCLM3 cells are widely used in basic and clinical research on the pathogenesis of human hepatocellular carcinoma, as well as in the screening of antitumor drugs.
