ScienCell's GeneQuery™ Human Vitamin Metabolism qPCR Array Kit (GQH-VIT) is designed to facilitate gene expression profiling of 88 key genes involved in human vitamin metabolism, including vitamin digestion and absorption, and metabolism of water-soluble vitamins (B-complex and C) and fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K). Brief examples of how included genes may be grouped according to their functions are shown below:
- Vitamin digestion and absorption: - ABCC1, APOA1, APOB, B FOLH1, LRAT, RBP2, SCARB1, SLC19A1/2
- Water-soluble vitamin metabolism: - ALPL, ALPP, ART1/4, BST1, DHFR, ENPP1/3, GCH1, GSTO1/2, MMAB, MTHFR, NAMPT, NUP62/98/214, PTGIS, SLC23A1/2, SLC2A1/3
- Fat-soluble vitamin metabolism: - ABCG5/8, ALDH1A1, APOC2/3, CYP1A1/2, CYP24A1, CYP26A1/B1, CYP27B1, LRP1/2/8/12, RBP1/4, RXRs, SDC1/2/3
GeneQuery™ qPCR array kits are qPCR ready in a 96-well plate format, with each well containing one primer set that can specifically recognize and efficiently amplify a target gene's cDNA. The carefully designed primers ensure that: (i) the optimal annealing temperature in qPCR analysis is 65°C (with 2 mM Mg^2+ , and no DMSO); (ii) the primer set recognizes all known transcript variants of target gene, unless otherwise indicated; and (iii) only one gene is amplified. Each primer set has been validated by qPCR with melt curve analysis, and gel electrophoresis.
