Description:
ScienCell's GeneQuery™ Human Brain Development Markers qPCR Array Kit (GQH-BDM) surveys a panel of 24 marker genes involved in brain development, function and pathogenesis. GQH-BDM is also useful for evaluating the roles of stem and progenitor cells in brain organoid generation. Brief examples of how genes may be grouped are shown below:
  • M1 microglia phenotype markers: - TNF, NOS2, IL1B
  • M2 microglia phenotype markers: - IL10, ARG1, MRC1
  • Pericyte markers: - ACTA2, PDGFRB, CSPG4

Evaluation of neural differentiation -

  • Astrocyte markers: - GFAP, S100B, GLUL
  • Immature neuron markers: - NEUROD1, DCX, TUBB3
  • Mature neuron markers: - MAP2, RBFOX3, SYP
Neuron function evaluation: - CHAT, TH (tyrosine hydroxylase), MAPT
  • Blood-brain barrier (BBB) evaluation: - VCAM1, OCLN, ICAM1
  • Note - : - all gene names follow their official symbols by the Human Genome Organization Gene Nomenclature Committee (HGNC). GeneQuery™ qPCR array kits are qPCR ready in a 96-well plate format, with each well containing one primer set that can specifically recognize and efficiently amplify a target gene's cDNA. The carefully designed primers ensure that: (i) the optimal annealing temperature in qPCR analysis is 65°C (with 2 mM Mg ^2+ , and no DMSO); (ii) the primer set recognizes all known transcript variants of target gene, unless otherwise indicated; and (iii) only one gene is amplified. Each primer set has been validated by qPCR with melt curve analysis, and gel electrophoresis.
