Primary Human Aortic Smooth Muscle Cells

Gold standard primary cells isolated by elutriation from normal human descending aorta tissue. ACBRI 716 cells were isolated by centrifugal counterflow elutriation from dissociated normal human descending aorta tissue and are available in single cryopreserved vials or proliferating flasks. Cell Systems primary cells are unadulterated healthy cells with a high yield that are ideal for 2D or 3D cell cultures. Use of Cell Systems Media and Reagents is highly recommended.Primary cells are available at Passage 3 [<12 cumulative population doublings] cryopreserved in Cell Freezing Medium™ (4Z0-705). This vial will initiate a Passage 4 cell culture in a 75 cm2 flask. The cells were originated using Cell Systems Complete Serum-Free Medium (SF-4Z0-500) and subsequently grown and passaged in Cell Systems Complete Medium (4Z0-500). Each vial of cells is shipped to Customer with Bac-Off® (antibiotic) and CultureBoost™ (animal derived growth factors) or CultureBoost-R™ (human recombinant growth factors) at no additional cost. Cells are available for in vitro research purposes only and may not be transferred out of the direct control of the recipient.
