9-Methylacridine is an environmentally sensitive fluorescent probe that can couple with carboxylic acid molecules. Under ultraviolet light above 360 nm, it decomposes and releases the coupled carboxylic acid, exhibiting excellent cellular permeability and imaging capabilities.
