Tos-PEG6-acid is a compound featuring both a tosyl (p-toluenesulfonyl) group and a terminal carboxylic acid group within a PEG linker. The hydrophilic PEG spacer enhances solubility in aqueous environments. The tosyl group serves as an excellent leaving group in nucleophilic substitution reactions. Additionally, the terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups to form stable amide bonds in the presence of activators such as HATU.
