FXn is a hapten used in the production of monoclonal antibodies (mAb). FXh is activated by incubating with N,N'-disuccinimidyl carbonate and Et3N in acetonitrile at 0 °C. FXn forms a covalent bond with proteins through an N-hydroxysuccinimide ester.
