Bioactivity:
Mannosamine-desthiobiotin adduct (Compound MDTBA) is a hapten designed to reduce the immunogenicity of carriers. By conjugating with available free amines on the surface of carrier proteins, it decreases the immunogenicity of these protein carriers. When linked to hsIgG, the Mannosamine-desthiobiotin adduct significantly (>1 fold) reduces the immunogenicity of hsIgG, making it useful for antigen design research.
