Targeted Mol's B-27 serum-free additive (50X, vitamin A removed) is a high-performance cell culture additive designed specifically for central nervous system (CNS) related research, capable of effectively supporting neuronal growth, differentiation, and functional maintenance under serum-free conditions. This product is suitable for in vitro culture of hippocampal neurons and other CNS neurons from embryonic, postnatal, and adult sources. It is widely used in various culture systems such as adherent monolayers or suspended neurospheres, and is an ideal choice for culturing neural progenitor cells and neural stem cells without inducing their differentiation. This product is a B-27 complete additive without vitamin A, effectively preventing vitamin A from inducing stem cell differentiation into nerve cells. It is suitable for culture systems that require maintaining the undifferentiated state of stem cells. B-27 additive is provided in the form of 50X concentrated solution and is recommended to be used in combination with Neurobasal or Neurobasal-A medium. It can significantly enhance neuronal activity and long-term survival rate without the need for astrocyte feeder layer. In addition, this additive is also suitable for the culture of neurogenic tumor cell lines, and has been widely used in the construction and maintenance of organ like models of breast cancer, small intestine, stomach, liver, etc., showing good applicability in multiple fields.
