Background:
IL-3 dependent murine pro B cell line; an original publication describing establishment of BA/F3 does not exist; probably a subclone of a first described Ea3 cell line. Performing May-Gruenwald-Giemsa staining provides evidence that the cells are indeed from a lymphatic background, however cells were apparently not derived from BALB/c, but from C3H mouse.
