Background:
GT1-1 cells are a subclone of the GT1 cell line. GT1 comes from tumors in transgenic mice that stably express the SV40 large T antigen and can secrete the gonadotropin-releasing hormone LHRH. GT1-1 cells can express pro-LHRH mRNA and secrete LHRH-like immunoreactive substances into the culture medium.
