Background:
The hybridoma cell line PK136 secretes a mouse monoclonal antibody (IgG2a) that reacts with mouse NK cells. This cell line was created by fusing SP2/0-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from (C3H X BALB/C) F1 mice that had been immunized with CE mouse spleen and bone marrow cells. The antibody is specific to NK cells and is cytotoxic in the presence of complement. Its reactivity with cells from different mouse strains is consistent with the reaction pattern of conventional NK1.1 antiserum.
