NP69SV40T is an SV40T-immortalized human nasopharyngeal epithelial cell line widely applied to investigate nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) tumorigenesis. NPC, the most prevalent malignancy originating from nasopharyngeal epithelial cells, exhibits high incidence across Southeast Asia and manifests as childhood cancer in certain African populations. NPC initiation and progression are tightly linked to viral drivers, predominantly Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) and human papillomavirus (HPV).
