NOMO-1 was established from the bone marrow of a 31-year-old woman with acute myeloid leukemia (AML FAB M5a) at 2nd relapse; described in the literature to show strong lysozyme activity in the cytoplasm, phagocytic activities, and cells are responsive to induction of differentiation with TPA; cells carry the t(9;11) (p22;q23) KMT2A-MLLT3 (MLL-MLLT3; MLL-AF9) alteration.
