The CCF-STTG1 cell line was established from a 68-year-old Caucasian female patient with grade IV astrocytoma. The cells exhibit strong nucleotidase and acid phosphatase activity. Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) is detected in 70?80% of the cells. After 48 hours in culture, 20?30% of the cells express HLA-DR protein.
