Long Description:
Chemical. CAS: 84537-86-0. Formula: C32H25N7Ru . 2PF6. MW: 898.59. Ru(bpy)2(phen-5-NH2)(PF6)2 is a fluorescent metal-ligand complex probe. It shows high brightness and large Stokes Shift. Spectral Data: lambdaex=458nm; lambdaem=612nm in 0.1 M Tris pH 7.0. It has been used as starting material for synthesis of long-lifetime luminescent Ru complexes and in the preparation of amino-ruthenium(ii) complex functionalized gold nanoparticles, which could be used as probe in biosensors and bioassays. Ru(bpy)2(phen-5-NH2)(PF6)2 is has also been used to synthesize fluorescent silica nanoparticles with ultrabrightness and photostability by encapsulating it into silica nanoparticles by a modified reversed microemulsion method. Could be used for the determination of nucleotide base sequences.
