Description:
Disperse yellow is a class of functional dyes with strong fluorescence. The main scaffold is 3-Benzoxazol-2-yl-chromen-2-one which contains coumarin (chromen-2-one). In addition to coloring polymers, they are also particularly useful in a wide range such as fluorescent paint and resins for solar collectors, sensitive material and optical disc recording materials. It is an industrial colorant (e.g. plastics), mostly for materials science or manufacturing contexts. Occasionally used in laser dyes or inks. Absorbance: ~450nm. Excitation max: ~ 458nm, Emission max: ~480nm (accord. Lit).
