Further Information

Appearance:
White to faint yellow powder.
CAS:
1353585-46-2
Description:
While D-Luciferin 6'-methyl ether is a well-characterized analog of D-luciferin, commonly used in bioluminescent assays, L-Luciferin 6'-methyl ether is less commonly referenced in scientific literature. The L-enantiomer of luciferin is generally not a substrate for firefly luciferase, and its 6'-methyl ether derivative is likely to exhibit similar inactivity in luciferase-based assays. Spectral Data: Excitation max: ~ 350nm, Emission max: ~440nm (accord. Lit).
