Antibodies
MBL offers a wide variety of primary antibodies and isotype controls covering many different research areas, including autophagy, apoptosis, immunology, and more. These antibodies have high sensitivity and specificity and are validated for numerous applications.
In Vivo Grade Isotope Controls
CrownVivo™ antibodies are functional grade isotype controls* manufactured specifically for in vivo animal studies, including antigen neutralisation and pathway/blockade depletion assays during development and validation of antibody biotherapeutics. These isotype controls are designed to avoid cross-reactivity with common preclinical species and supplied in the exact format needed for in vivo, ex vivo, or in vitro studies.
CrownVivo™ antibodies are made to be highly concentrated, with low endotoxin levels, and no preservatives.
*CrownVivo™ isotype control antibodies are manufactured by Crown Biosciences, Inc., a JSR Life Sciences Company.

Epitope Tag Antibodies
Epitope tags are an essential tool to determine the localisation and expression of target proteins, and for purification in the presence of numerous other proteins in living organisms.
MBL offers a large selection of antibodies to common epitope tags (DDDDK, HA, Myc, His, V5, etc.), antibodies to fusion proteins (GFP, RFP, etc.), and special-purpose tags (mini-AID-tag and others).
HRP-DirecT
The HRP-DirecT series are epitope tag antibodies labelled directly with HRP. MBL has succeeded in developing HRP-labelled antibodies with higher sensitivity and lower background.
Smart-IP
Smart-IP is a line of highly specific tag antibodies conjugated to magnetic beads or magnetic agarose beads designed for faster immunoprecipitation. Smart-IP improves efficiency by reducing time-consuming steps such as centrifugation. The magnetic beads and magnetic agarose beads can be easily isolated using a magnetic rack. The supernatant can also be extracted with minimal sample loss, resulting in high yields of your target position.
Fluorescent Proteins
FUCCI – For Cell Cycle Detection
FUCCI (Fluorescent Ubiquitination-based Cell Cycle Indicator) is a set of fluorescent probes which enables the visualisation of cell cycle progression in living cells. FUCCI utilises the phase-dependent nature of replication licensing factors Cdt1 and Geminin.
A fusion protein of a fragment of Cdt1 (amino acids 30-120) with the fluorescent protein monomeric Kusabira-Orange 2 (mKO2) serves as an indicator of G1 phase. A fusion protein of a fragment of Geminin (amino acids 1-110 or 1-60) with the fluorescent protein monomeric Azami-Green 1 (mAG1) visualises the S, G2 and M phases.
In summary, FUCCI utilises the highly selective, rapid degradation of the replication licensing factors mediated by the ubiquitin proteasome system to give excellent visualisations of the cell cycle.
Fluoppi – For Protein-Protein Interaction Detection
Fluoppi (Fluorescent based technology detecting Protein-Protein Interaction (PPI)) is a novel technology to detect PPI in living cells with a high signal to noise ratio. The result is a bright, clearly analysable image. Fluoppi detects PPI as the absence or presence of fluorescent foci during inhibition or induction, respectively. The Fluoppi advantage is the ease of the construction of the PPI detection system with no need for optimising the linker.
Keima-Red – For Mitophagy Detection
Mitophagy is the process of selective mitochondrial degradation by autophagy. It has been found to be involved in neurodegenerative and cardiovascular diseases as well as cancer. Keima-Red can detect mitophagy in living cells by using a unique excitation profile and a mitochondria targeting tag.
Assay Kits
MBL offers ready-to-use kits and assays that are highly cited. Discover ELISA kits, apoptosis detection kits, protein purification kits, and more for your research needs.
CircuLex™
CircuLex™ brand products are focused on assay kits for detecting disease-related markers, such as adipokine/lipid metabolism, PCSK9, Glycated Protein/AGEs, S100 family proteins and inflammation. These assay kits are suitable for in vitro drug screening or target validation.
CycLex®
CycLex® brand products are assay kits focused on the research of novel genes related to drug discovery. Its main target fields are protein kinase, protein phosphatase, acetylation/deacetylation and protein modification.

Protein Purification Kits & Gels
In many research fields, purification of proteins in their active forms or native conformations is essential. To purify proteins while preserving their activity and structure, purification is best performed under mild, neutral conditions rather than harsh conditions, such as acidic or alkaline.
MBL offers small packages of purification kits for c-Myc-, V5-, HA-, and DDDDK-tagged proteins.
MBL's tagged protein purification kit employs competitive polypeptides to elute target-tagged proteins under a neutral pH to maintain target protein function and conformation. Epitope tag-specific antibodies in this kit are highly optimised for target recovery with high yield and purity from crude samples like cell lysates or culture supernatant of mammal transfectant cells.
MBL's tagged protein magnetic purification kits contain magnetic beads coated with an antibody with high specificity and optimal affinity for each tag. These kits enable high-purity tagged proteins expressed in mammalian cells to be isolated under mild, neutral conditions in a simple procedure.
MBL also provides purification gels on their own, recommended for large-scale protein production and the in-house preparation of elution peptides.

Magnosphere™
Magnosphere™ magnetic beads are microparticles, used for life science applications, that consist of a core particle, a magnetite layer and a surface polymer layer. Magnosphere™ beads are ensured to have uniform particle size, preventing aggregation. They are available with two different types of surface characteristics: hydrophilic (MS) and hydrophobic (MX), and with coatings of Streptavidin, Tosyl, or Carboxyl, to meet the separation needs of your experiment.
Immutex™
Immutex™ are uniform-sized polystyrene latex (PSL) particles for agglutination tests in clinical diagnostics. A variety of particle sizes and surface chemistries are available to meet your specific requirements.
