Description:
This cell line is derived from human peripheral blood CD4+ helper T cells, which are crucial for orchestrating immune responses. Cells were immortalized via the introduction of the SV40 (Simian Virus 40) large T antigen. This modification allows for extensive experimental manipulation and long-term studies on CD4+ T cell functions and mechanisms. Researchers can utilize this cell line to investigate various aspects of immune regulation, including T cell activation, cytokine production, and interactions with other immune cells, providing valuable insights into immune system diseases and potential therapeutic targets.
Donor History:
Male, 28, Caucasian
Growth Conditions:
PriCoat™ T25 Flasks  (G299) or Applied Cell Extracellular Matrix (G422) are recommended for optimal cell culture. PriGrow X Series Medium for T0417 (TM0417) + 25 ul of Immunocult Human CD3/CD28 T Cell Activator (Stemcell, Cat.10971) / 106 T cells. Note: Once cells recover from freeze-thaw conditions, the T cell activator does not need to be added to the culture vessel.
