MegaFi™ Pro DNA Polymerase is THE BEST high fidelity DNA polymerase A lacZa-containing sequence was amplified using various DNA polymerases, subcloned, and plated on X-gal-containing media. Colonies without PCR amplified lacZa mutations appear dark blue, while those that have PCR introduced frameshift mutations appear white.

BlasTaq™ DNA Polymerase enables extension speeds as fast as 6 kb/min. Total reaction times for abm’s BlasTaq™ DNA Polymerase (Cat. No. ABM-G894) and Taq were determined for the amplification of different sized amplicons: 500 bp, 1 kb, 2 kb, and 5 kb. Reaction times are based on a 30-cycle program using the recommended reaction protocol for each enzyme.

BlasTaq™ HotStart DNA Polymerase

Eliminate non-specific amplification and primer-dimer formation with abm’s next generation BlasTaq™ HotStart DNA Polymerase. This formulation includes a proprietary antibody that blocks polymerase activity at low temperatures and dissociates at the denaturation step to restore enzyme activity.

BlasTaq™ HotStart DNA Polymerase eliminates non-specific amplification. abm’s BlasTaq™ HotStart DNA Polymerase (Cat. No. ABM-G595) was used to amplify a 7 kb target. The antibody concentration was decreased incrementally from lanes 1-5. Lane 1 is their BlasTaq™ HotStart formulation and lane 5 contains no antibody.

Ultra-Pure BlasTaq™ PCR MasterMix ensures efficient amplification while maintaining low-DNA contamination levels when compared to leading competitors. Two different primer sets (blue and orange) against host DNA were tested with two competitor products (1 and 2) and abm’s Ultra-Pure BlasTaq™ enzyme (3). There is no amplification seen in the no-template controls (NTC) from Ultra-Pure BlasTaq™ PCR MasterMix indicating exceptional purity of the product. Activity Control Primer Set demonstrated similar performance for all three tested products.
