Bioactivity:
Poloxamer 235 P85 is a block copolymer composed of polyoxyethylene and polyoxypropylene, with an average molecular weight of 4600. In tests with albino rats, it displays acute and subchronic oral toxicity, with an LD50 greater than 34.6 g/kg. It also causes ocular irritation in rabbits.
