In case you didn’t know, or if you did, here’s a reminder:
TransFix® is a stabilisation reagent that preserves cellular antigens and prevents cellular degradation in whole blood and cerebrospinal fluid for flow cytometric analysis.
- TransFix® Reagent – 1 mL or 20 mL – Provides flexibility to pipette as much as you need.
- TransFix® CSF Sample Storage Tubes – Optimised to stabilise Cerebrospinal Fluid for up to 3 days. Two formats available: small (for 0.25 – 1 mL samples) and large (for 1 – 4 mL samples).
- TransFix®/EDTA Vacuum Blood Collection Tubes (TVT) – 3 and 9 mL direct draw collection tubes prefilled with sufficient TransFix® and K3 EDTA for the stabilisation and anticoagulation of blood at the point of collection for up to 14 days.
- TransFix® Sample Storage Tubes – Do not contain an anticoagulant, allowing the stabilisation of blood samples with EDTA anticoagulant (1 mL).

ScreenCell® technology is a simple and rapid liquid biopsy method for reliable and non-invasive isolation of circulating tumour cells (CTCs) from a single blood sample in patients with solid tumours.
Available are 2 single-use IVD kits, each specifically designed for distinct applications:
CYTO – for cytological analysis – blood sample < 4 hours, cells fixed and analysed on the isolation support
Applications: CTC enumeration, detection of CTC clusters, cytopathological analysis of CTCs, evaluation of the expression of informative antigens, compatible with immunostaining methods (ICC, IF) and evaluation of cytogenetic abnormalities by FISH.
MB – for molecular biology analysis – blood sample < 4 hours, living cells lysed on the isolation support Applications: isolation of unaltered live CTCs, extraction of high-quality CTC DNA and/or RNA, evaluation of actionable and informative mutations, compatible with qPCR, dPCR and NGS, CTC culture and single-cell analysis and drug screening.
Medical & Biological Laboratories (MBL) is a leading manufacturer of IVD ELISA kits for the diagnosis of autoantibodies commonly encountered in Autoimmune Blistering Diseases (AIBD) and Polymyositis and Dermatomyositis (PM/DM).
Their latest kit, MESACUP™ Type VII Collagen TEST, measures anti-type VII collagen antibodies in patient serum, a characteristic of Epidermolysis Bullosa Acquisita (EBA), an AIBD which causes blisters on the skin and mucosal membranes.
Anti-type VII collagen IgG is associated with dysfunction of anchoring fibrils that stabilise dermal-epidermal adherence. Anti-type VII collagen IgG mainly reacts with non-collagen domain 1 (NC1) of type VII collagen, while NC2 is considered to contain a minor epitope. MBL’s MESACUP™ Type VII Collagen TEST is a ready-to-use, all-in-one ELISA kit which employs recombinant NC1 and NC2 antigens of type VII collagen for higher sensitivity.
